Apologetic Mood

"Uh...uh hmmph", clears throat. I'm such a disgrace. Seriously I take full responsibility for all my actions. *Hangs head down*

In my previous post, I've spent a ridiculuosly huge amount of time observing a fella and his eating habits. And not only that, I was concocting all kinds of funny theories to explain it. And not only that, I was suspecting that something fishy was going on.

Anyways, everything is crystal clear now. Thanks to a friend of mine who shall hence forth be known in this passage as Chi Ko Pek. For those who do not understand dialects, a simple and literal translation will explain the term as "dirty old man". Of course, he's not a chi ko pek. *Maybe..but that leaves to be proven later* =)

Okay, okay, so Chi Ko Pek sat with him the other day during dinner time. He wanted to find out why Rice Duder eats so much as badly as we all did. Only that we didn't have the guts to approach him.

To summarise things, Chi Ko Pek made friends with him. Chatted a bit and asked the million dollar question. "Why do you eat so much?"

Ohhhhh.....*clank clank clank*

Is this suspense or what?!

Rice Duder started to explain that he was from a northen certain place and the people from the northern certain place have huge huge appetites. He even told Chi Ko Pek that the portions here are so small that, for lunch, he needs to eat double the usual amount other people eat. That explains a lot, doesn't it? Yup, that's the only reason why he takes hour long meals during dinner.

Yay, mystery case solved!!

And last but not least, please accept my apologies, Rice Duder.

Suspicious minds...

Arghh..we've committed the most heinous crime ever!!! Maybe i had started it due to my superior observation skills, I'm not too sure whether I'm to be blamed but a bunch of us are busy training ourselves to be master of deception, to come unnoticed, to see unseen, to hear unheard....*Gong went KlanggGgg*

It has come to our attention that there is a dude (Let's call him the Rice Duder) who takes one-hour long dinner in our hall everyday without fail. If you think he haves ten course meals for dinner then stop assuming and pay attention!

Well, the matter had came to us in a most innocent fashion. I happened to sit opposite the Rice Duder during dinner time and as we chatted and struggled to swallow our food, it occurred to me that the Rice Duder had been takng quite a few bananas from the counter. For your information, we are only allowed to have one fruit, ONE, UNO, SATU, EIN, L'UN...(yat kor in cantonese). And then, as i came to notice, he also had been refilling his plate of food for a few times. Wow, truly when they say " I can eat a horse", that is possible! I was quite amused initially, perhaps thinking that too many late nights had rendered me to the state of hallucinating. To make double sure, I told my friend about this so to verify my sanity.

Of course, since we do not have the time of day to stay back and observe the lonesome Rice Duder eat, we decided to observe him another day.

The next day, as planned, we trudged reluctantly to the dining hall and went about to chewing the mush they served us. There he was. Throughout the whole duration of the meal we observed him and his antics to gather more information. It is apparent that he really does refill his plate a few times and he took a lot of fruits. We were pretty shocked since for a medium size guy, he is average in weight, in comparison to the amount he eats every evening. He'll have a canister of water beside him and he eats S-L-O-W-L-Y. Contrary to the belief that chewing slowly can fill you up faster, he refills his portion of rice and other food stuff to go with it. The process is being repeated until one hour has passed by. Then, our happy friend will clear up his numerous used plates. Here's the other interesting part, he packs another packet of dinner to bring back with him! Is there any logic behind this peculiarity?

Perhaps Rice Duder thinks he can impress babes with his massive appettite. Perhaps Rice Duder only eats one meal per day. Perhaps Rice Duder really eats that much for every meal. Perhaps Rice Duder loves hall food.

There is much to be observed still........~
